Tideline Quilts
"The Traveler's Quilt" using Art Gallery fabrics from Sew SistersĀ
Found a great old fence near the beach - nice place to drape the quilt.
Alex (my daughter) is wrapped in her quilt on a stormy Nova Scotia day at "The Murb"!
It was a dull day, even some snow, but somehow the colours of the quilt still stood out!
We thought it looked like the train of a wedding dress in this pic!
Freshly washed - a great, beachy, crinkly, hand-made quilt look - just what I was going after!
A special signature for a beloved daughter...
"A Good Day" Quilt using "Marmalade" flannels by Bonnie & Camille for Moda
This is a happy, cheerful quilt that is so super soft - any baby would love it!
The backer is a pretty retro flannel I found at a quilt store in Calais, Maine.
I straight line quilted this - dense in the borders, and in stacks of 3 on the patterned fabric.
A good look at the back and quilting detail.
Such a pretty combination - perfect for a new arrival - soft, warm and comfortable.
A really close look at these beautiful flannels - Marmalade - from Moda.
"Fresh Country Christmas" using "Aspen Frost" fabrics by Moda
The "Aspen Frost" fabrics from Basic Grey for Moda caught my eye - and became XMas placemats,
A bit closer up so you can see the fabrics better!
Reaaaallllly close up!
I'm in love with this backing - berries and snow covered branches, with little wild birds flitting about!
Once the placemats were done, a runner was the obvious next thing to make!
You can purchase this set at my online shop at "" under my name "Andrea Kelter".

"Fresh Lobster" Table Topper using "Catch of the Day" fabrics from Windham
This table topper is now atop my daughter Alex's dining room table!
She chose the fabrics herself from the "Fresh Catch" collection by
Windham Fabrics.
What's more fun than fresh lobster?
Simple quilting allows the fun fabrics to shine!
"A Good Day" Throw Quilt using "Nesting Place" fabrics from Benartex
Fabric and quilting detail. I love the shabby paisleys, birds and musical notes of this fabric!
An even better look at the beautiful fabrics in the "Nesting Place" collection.
The best way to get a photo of the entire quilt was to spread it out on my kitchen table!
It's a perfect quilt for draping across the end of a bed, or on a chair or sofa...
The backer is a vintage floral print I found in a quilt shop in Maine this past summer.
Laid across a bed to show the way the fabrics work with each other...
"Tater Chips Quilt" using "Nature's Basket" fabrics from Blackbird Designs for Moda
My brother's Christmas present quilt, a throw for his new in-home office.
A view of the entire quilt, showing off the Nature's Basket fabrics from Blackbird Designs for Moda.
A detailed look at the fabrics...
A close look at the quilting detail. I used invisible thread on the top, and navy thread on the bottom.
Quilting detail - looks just like a tin ceiling, doesn't it?
The binding was applied by machine, and turned out perfectly!
